Gumbo was an extreme disappointment, and its accompanying "biscuit" was an aged roll from the grocery store, told by staff it's microwaved to inedible state. Burrito was okay, but the tortillas shows age as out of the kitchen it was already broken open and flaking apart. Questionable place seeming on its last legs. Asked for owner to adjust the outrageous 295 baht for the bland and lifeless bowl of rice gravy trying to pass for gumbo, to be told management isn't available, so nothing can be done. Over paid. Under delivered. If you want southwestern food, try Salsa Kitchen if you're considering southern soul food....just do your self a favor and don't get it here.

Great Southern American food. It reminded me of being back home in the South. The Restaraunt itself is a little older and could use a little work but the food is delicious. The waitress was super friendly, polite, and very helpful.

Went here with my girlfriend after needing a little break from Thai cuisine. I don't know if we just came on a bad day, but jeez... talk about a tourist trap. The "hand made chips" might have been great a week or two ago, but were now too stale to eat. The tacos were sub par but passable (we come from California, so maybe our expectations for Mexican food are higher than the average customer), however not acceptable for 100 baht per. My girlfriend spent all night throwing up, which may or may not have been due to her fish taco, as we ate a lot of things that day... but according to her it definitely didn't make her feel all that great. And to top it off, I honestly don't know how they screwed up Mac & Cheese this bad. We would have much rather just had cold Kraft mac... not the lukewarm concoction they handed us for 150 baht. We couldn't touch it. The thing is, neither of us are picky eaters & this is the first negative food review I've ever given. I just strongly feel that if they're going to charge this high of prices relative to the surrounding restaurants, whoever owns this place needs to do a serious revaluation of the food quality the cooks are outputting.

HUGE menu, HUGE portions, super laid back atmosphere with great (Memphis-style) music and great (Southern-style) food. I was really surprised -- They seriously have about every American comfort food you can imagine! Homemade pickles, complimentary chips and salsa, and homemade salsa on the table... You can't go wrong!!!!

A friend and I were craving Southern U.S. cooking and decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Gumbo with low expectations (I'm from South Louisiana.) but was more than pleasantly surprised. It's better than some of the Gumbo I've gotten back home. Turns out the recipe is from the owner's father who lived in NOLA for 15 years. It's chicken and shrimp with a link of pork sausage on top. It came with cornbread and two sides. The green beans with mushrooms and the fried okra were also delicious. The whole plate needed salt, but I'm happy to add. We also had a jar of pickled okra on the table. So good. To top it off, the sweet tea is legit and comes with free refills. We met Jack, the owner, on our way out. It was his dad's place. We were sorry to hear that his dad passed last year, but hope that Jack keeps this place alive for those of us passing through Chiang Mai and needing a taste of home. We walked out with happy stomachs and big smiles!

Biscuits seem to have been made ahead of time, which would have been fine except that they were way too rubbery which I suspect has to do with how they were reheated. The gravy was tasty though and the staff was friendly. The limeade was good too.

This place had fantastic food. The owner was very friendly and accommodating as well, hope everyone is staying healthy during 2020 and hope to visit again one day.

They microwave their bread buns for their burgers which ended up ruining the burger experience. The bread was like crackers. This place has gone downhill. It was wonderful 4 years ago. Now, it's horrible.
