Had the best experience getting certified here! Manou our instructor, was spot on and very reassuring with her approach which made us feel at ease the whole time, she went above and beyond customer service, as well as the whole team there. Includes lunch/breakfast and a really decent price! Situated in the hostel as well made the experience very easy with no stress! Best place to get certified!

Had a great experience getting my Open Water here. My instructor Manu was so nice and made us feel at ease. She was able to teach us a lot about the fish and corals here. They keep the groups small, which is great when you're learning to scuba dive. I would definitely recommend taco divers!
I did not just find a great diving compangnie, I met friends for life. If you want to learn how to dive in a small group and have a relaxing and yet interesting course, these are your people. Loved it.
The entire experience from booking to diving was awesome. It was great priced and the dive sites were beautiful. My instructors Julie and James were excellent and made me feel comfortable and welcome from the start. They were knowledgeable of the area and skilled as divers! Shout out to Carmen as well, she’s the life of the party and left a positive impression even though we didn’t dive together. Would highly recommend coming here. I’ve been diving around the world and this place is one of the best hands down!
I had a really horrible experience here! And this is sad because out of my entire Thailand trip, I was most looking forward to getting my Open Water diving certification in Koh Tao. Instead I ended up quitting it after the first day because my experience was so horrible... I felt that my instructor Claire was quite mean, impatient, forceful, non-supportive and not comforting to be around. I admit that I was slow to understand some of the ways you close and suit up all the materials on the diving equipment, but her impatience with me and constant "I already told you!"'s made me feel even more stressed and weren't helpful at all. When we were swimming in the water on my first dive she rushed me, continuously yelling "swim faster! Hurry up!" even though I was already swimming as fast as I could. Moreover at one point I lost her, she swam too far ahead to the point where I no longer saw her! Instead of being by my side and supporting me all the time. I felt completely uncomfortable and couldn't wait for this experience with her to end. Finally for the dive you have to jump off the boat, which I felt nervous about doing, and I felt like she was forcing me to do it even when I went snorkeling during the second half of the day and didn't have to jump off (I could just use the stairs, which I did end up using despite her ordering "I'm your instructor, you have to jump!" when I completely didn't have to..). Overall it was a very horrible experience which I couldn't wait for the end of, principally due to my unsupportive bossy instructor Claire. I do have to say that other people on the boat (one instructor guy in particular from a different dive shop in Koh Tao, who was just coming along as a photographer this trip) made me feel much more comfortable, so you might have a much better experience here with a different instructor (I can't vouch for them, but they generally seemed nice).
Had an exceptional time at Taco, great instruction and beautiful things to see! I did my open water and advanced with Tom, who was extremely knowledgable. Would recommend taco to anyone looking to get their cert or go for a dive in Koh Tao.
Best divers in koh tao. Get the package with the hostel, it's a great place. Our instructors were awesome they went above and beyond for us and we had a great time. Will be back
