Great bar for chilling out and enjoying a drink with friends and family. A good music choice, very cold beer and lovely staff and friendly management. Lava Lounge is nothing like the louder girlie bars in town and dont really understand how anybody can review otherwise. Located just off the main strip, by evening the road is not busy and its a great place to spend a chilled out evening. Highly recommended.

OMG the cocktails. Fabby! And an extensive list. Highly experienced and friendly staff, lots of sofas to relax in. Just of the main drag in Lamai, turn right from Walkabout. Well worth a visit. Prices pretty reasonable, around 120 Baht pet drink.

It’s not often I would write about a bar on a review (As I generally forget I’ve been in one) but have to write about Lava lounge bar in Lamai ... Having a usual ok holiday I ended up in Lava Lounge.. Man the place was just brilliant and the staff like family .. We even ended up in an impromptu sing song with people I’ve never ever met before ... Why ... Because as I sat on my own.. John the owner made a point of introducing me to others ... It has to be first bar that has ever happened ... What a great night .. Great Bar ... Lovely people especially staff ... It’s my holiday local now for good info and craic

When it first opened around 2004ish it was a great place to hide from the girly bars, unfortunately now it's become just another girly bar albeit low key...sad times. Having said that it still offers a cool and peaceful vibe for couples and small groups. The toilets, although not easy to get to, are clean which is definitely a bonus. Come back Frank, you're desperately needed
