An amazing first time diving experience. Kray was an amazing instructor who made me feel safe, supported and competent as a novice diver. His explanations on how to be the safest I could be were clear. He also took it slow when I was struggling with a technique or two. The whole entire process was so encouraging and amazing. I got to see tones of marine life and honestly, they delivered on everything they promised!!

Zuzana and Jesper took such great care of everything during my trip. They went above and beyond. I had so much fun with the open water beginner course I stayed for advanced! If you’re looking for welcoming, knowledgeable instructors who have contagious joy for life, this is the place to go!
Rarely do I write reviews, but these guys were simply too good not to. OceanSound are truly deserving of every kudos I can offer for giving me an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience. Having never been diving before I decided to complete my PADI open and advanced open water dive courses with OceanSound. The instruction was super professional, extremely fun and smaller groups meant I had plenty of time 1to1 with Kray my instructor. Not only was Kray extremely knowledgeable and experienced but made me feel safe throughout and will now be a friend for life! #topbloke OceanSound is more than a professional dive shop, it’s an experience, a culture and a community. All of the team here were amazing including Will and Jesper, from the point of booking through until my graduation. Helpful, accommodating and just great people. Great dive school! We took PADI Open Water course there - and enjoyed every minute of it. I would say experience was outstanding starting already beginning - before I selected dive school I’ve sent Facebook messaged to several of them - and Ocean Sound Dive (particularly Jesper) answers were very fast, extremely detailed and clear. So it was the reason why I chosen them in a first place. Then we love our instructor Zuzana! She is very professional, super positive and easy going - but when you are in water - she is also very focused, patient, calm and serious - as definitely newbies like we are under water don’t feel very confident) so we really felt that we can rely on Zuzana and her experience and felt safe (which is I guess the most important). She also put a lot of efforts to ensure we understand all theory and practical aspect of diving and ready for dives and PADI certification. Overall dives are very comfortable- boat is big with nice crew, they have water, tea and cookies. All equipment is good and well working. Pricing is also very reasonable. We really want to come back and have few more dives with Ocean Sound Dive. So definitely I can recommend them as a great company to learn how to and to dive with!
Such a good time! The weather wasn't great so we had to arrange a few times but they did whatever they could to make it a good experience for us. The facilities were excellent (dive boat, diving equipment etc.) and the instructors were really cool. We did two dives and saw so much which was amazing right after a monsoon. I will definitely be using them again because of how fun and relaxed they made the day. Would recommend and use again.
We did PADI open water course in October and it was the best decision to choose Ocean Sound Dive! As it was the first diving experience for me I couldn't be happier to have our wonderful instructor Zuzana. She is very professional, attentive and friendly, a person you can trust when you are under the water. The owner, Jesper, is very welcoming and nice! Would definitely come back for more diving with this amazing school :)
Just did my Open Water with Ocean Sound and I couldn’t recommend them more. They set the bar for service and knowledge and are a perfect mix of professionalism and laid back fun. They go with a sweet dive boat (with a resident dive cat). I did my cert with Norman who was a great instructor; he has lots of stories and did a great job of calming any fears we had, and making the dives a lot of fun. I would have continued diving with them and done my advanced here if not for the world being such a mess with corona and all. I’ll be back someday. Highly recommend. 5/5. 10/10.
Firstly, I couldn't have chosen a better diving school for my experience than Ocean Sound Dive for getting my PADI Freediver certificate. The overall experience was superb, from the customer service I received to the professionalism of my diving instructor Zuzana. I was messaging with few different schools in Koh Tao about diving, my original plan was to do the PADI Open Water course but in the end, I decided to switch to the PADI Freediver course (which I'm really happy that I did). Ocean Sound Dive was fast with their replies, everything was explained in a friendly and professional tone so it was easy to choose them over the other schools. I'm not much of a water person in general but my instructor, Zuzana was professional and was explaining techniques in detail and in a way that was easy to understand so I was able to feel relaxed and confident during diving. And have to say that we had such a great time during the diving trips! After getting my Freediver certificate, I was also keen on trying Scuba diving so I also booked Discover Scuba Dive with Ocean Sound Dive to see the differences between free diving and scuba diving. Since I had already spent few days with Zuzana, it was really easy for her to explain me the differences between free diving and scuba, and how the equipment works. I'll be definitely heading back there on next year, hopefully able to do next part of the PADI Freediving certificates with them. So if you are planning to have a diving experience in Koh Tao, I highly recommend Ocean Sound Dive!
