Little family restaurant near the pier and from the hotel we can ask them to book us pick up taxy that goes to the pier every 1 hours for 100thb/person. The pick-up taxy will join with other passengers.
Rusty old ferries that do their job. I much preferred this option over the main ferry, where I had to queue for 3 hours to get on! With this other company, I only waited 1 hour to get onto one. The queue was all the way up and over the mountain for the other ferry port, which seems poorly organised.
It was pretty grim and in dire need of update. The ferry was very rusty and it didn't look like it had much life left in it. The toilet was awful. But we made it there in one piece and it looked to have sufficient life vests which was the first thing I looked for when boarding due to the state of the ferry. I didn't expect luxury but it was worse than i expected. The other ferries we saw while crossing looked the same level of battered as the one we were on.
Bad service I ever used. I took this ferry service from the island to the main land. Even there is a field for park your car while waiting for ferry, however the ferry is too slow. Approximately 45 minutes per one trip. When I compared to another ferry company which located nearby it. Its competitor has a faster services approximately 20-30 minutes per one trip because it has more ferries. I spent 4 hours while waiting ferry here. That was really terrible. There is also a terrible toilet which never be maintained.
