Don't go by the looks it's simply amazing place. I'm shocked to hear its closing this November. But I must recommend the owners to preserve the beautiful Dutch restuarant with its old interiors. Food is lip smacking. Every aspect of interior is just very much authentic... even the toilet porcelains. Must visit.

Sad news: Rumours go Old Dutch will close the end of this year. A go go bar will open here. Another icon of Soi Cowboy is about to vanish. Enjoy this place as long as it's there. When I first came there some 18 years ago the place was still run by the Dutch owner. A few years later it was sold and since little changed. Little is invested in renovation. Therefore I avoid to go to the restrooms because they definitely need renovation. Still the food and drinks are still good and well priced. The staff is friendly and some know already what I will order when they see me. The atmosphere is unique because it's situated right at the end of Soi Cowboy. You can see the girls run in for work or walk out with customers. There is always something interesting to see. For me The Old Dutch is one of the last icons on this Soi. A leftover of old times and definitely worth a visit. When Henk was still boss I once complained that the white wine was hot. With his dry humor he said: You should have ordered the red wine. The red wine is ice cold sure. Smile

Decent food. Nothing special. Moderately priced. Had a good quality steak. Atmosphere is old and a bit grimey. Outdoor seating is suitable for people watching

If you want to get the experience of the old bars then this is THE place! It looks like something from the 60s or 70s movies. You will get a big pint of Heineken within 4/5 US. Also they have bite foods, especially the Mexican omelette is a killer. The place is at the corner of Soi 23 and the naughty Soi Cowboy. You can have a beer and look into the hustling scene of Soi Cowboy or just chil!

Avoid! Ordered 2 cheeseburgers priced 190b each and they came on the bill as 335b each. Pretty average place and horrible toilets. Might as well eat street food outside much cheaper.

I love the old Dutch Corned on Soi Cowboy! Great Thai food and Dutch food for the homesick traveller (though I wouldn't go for Dutch meals in a place with such great food as Thailand). Prices are reasonable, and you're in the middle of a lot of great bars!
