This is a great school to study at. The friendly trainers and administrative staff also ender a top ED visa service - including ongoing (90 day report) support with the pesky Thai paperwork at the immigration office of Chiang Mai. Not a Muthai studio, but great place to meet new friends and learn self defence. Great flexibility with classes and training schedules with training open during the week and also on weekends. Excellent online service when dealing with them from outside Thailand. Thanks a lot guys!

You won't meet a digital nomad who has lived or is living in Chiang Mai who hasn't heard about the hand-to-hand combat educational visa. A great was to stay in Thailand for 12 months or more, at a reasonable price. The classes are only a few hours a week and super flexible, and there's no strict testing like with some of the language schools and their ED visas. Now that travel in and out of the country is harder, you don't even need to leave Thailand to switch to this visa, and the staff take care of everything including all the paperwork and the 90-day reporting. Worth considering if you're still in Thailand and don't want to leave just yet or if you can get here on a tourist visa an want to stick around for longer after the first few months.

Unfriendly staff who seem to look down on foreigners. Even if you attend class every time and follow all instructions, they'll still be cold and making fun of novices. The classes themselves don't seem useful, you can't do any live action sparring, only orchestrated moves in slow motion. I don't think it helps much for actual self defence situations.
