large palace on extensive grounds surrounded by a shallow moat. there is agricultural production on the grounds
Just passing by with my heavy baggage seeing the palace on the right , semi heavy guarded as you might expect a royal palace to be , very clean beautiful area to walk but no shops no shopping malls no pedestrians no no no only police personnel but safe and no annoyance
The main building of the palace is a two-storey building, built in the reign of Rama VI. The palace was the residence of Rama VI. Chitralada School, was founded in 1958. A dairy farm and factories were built as the King Bhumibol Adulyadej is interested in agriculture and agricultural industries. Research centres on agricultural products were also founded to provide training for farmers. \Chitralada\ is used as the brandname for many products from the palace. Opening hours: Monday\t8:30AM–4:30PM Tuesday\t8:30AM–4:30PM Wednesday\t8:30AM–4:30PM Thursday\t8:30AM–4:30PM Friday\t8:30AM–4:30PM Saturday\tClosed Sunday\tClosed Visitors need to obtain a pass to enter.
