What a fantastic scuba dive center in Koh Tao. A very passionate and engaged Course Director and professional, friendly with lots of energy instructors. I had my open and advanced open water course here and then I send my 8years old here for “bubblemaker” such a great experience for him. Big thanks to Black Turtle Dive Center Koh Tao for enlarging my underwater world.

I just had an amazing experience with Black Turtle Dive! I took Discover Scuba Diving, my first diving ever. Everything was perfectly organized, all questions answered at once. The instructor Susanne was very nice and helpful, in detail explained the basics and hold my hand the whole diving, so there was no place for fear. We dived in Mango Bay and Nang Yuan island - wonderful underwater world! Thank you for unforgettable memories!
I had an awesome experience diving through Black Turtle Dive! I will definitely be coming back to fun dive and take more courses. All the instructors and dive masters are very professional, highly qualified, and really fun to be around. For the large amount of knowledge and skills you learn, it is a really great value. I have dived through multiple dive centers and can say Black Turtle Dive is my favorite by far.
I completed my PADI Divemaster training with Black Turtle Dive through April and May 2021. Over six weeks, I learned extensively from BTD instructors Beard, Sue and Youri, improving my own dive skills, becoming more aware of different dive environments and diving conditions, furthering my technical and theoretical knowhow, and making the crucial transformation from a diver to a dive leader. BTD is a relatively new dive centre, but the decades of combined experience of its instructors and staff members make it one of the best operations not just on Koh Tao but in all of Thailand (I say this having dived a fair bit across the country). Apart from fun dives and courses, BTD also organises ecological and environmental activities from time to time, such as CoralWatch monitoring dives and Dive against Debris dives, so clients have a chance to get involved in citizen science programs and make their dive experience more meaningful. Overall, a big shout to BTD for their professionalism, high safety and operational standards, and their commitment to making scuba diving more enriching and more enjoyable for everyone.
I completed my PADI Open Water certificate at Black Turtle Dive and it was such a great experience! The Instructors were very professional, knowledgeable and best of all they were all lots of fun. Would definitely recommend these guys if you're going to Koh Tao for scuba diving. I'll be going back later this year to complete the Advanced course.
Completed and mastered my open and advanced open water course all within a week with black turtle all thanks to my fun and wonderful instructor Sue. It was a dream fullfiled due to Sue and the amazing team all at black turtle, they helped me achieve it with perfect ease and patience. Wouldn't recommend this place enough, just a sound bunch of people deeply passionate about the craft. Go dive with black turtle or don't dive at all!!
Amazing experience with the whole black turtle team! Everyone was super nice and welcoming which made my Dive Master training experience here amazing. My instructor Beard(Kieran) was awesome!! Everyone here is very good at what they do (scuba diving) and very fun to hang out with. The scuba diving standards at BTD are exemplary and higher than other dive shops I have been diving with. I really felt at home here and definitely felt like I got the best training and left with a lot more confidence in my skills as, now, a Dive Master.
I got my PADI Open Water with Black Turtle Dive and had a fantastic experience. While booking, they were very communicative and gave me all the information I needed in a lot of detail. All the staff were really friendly, particularly my instructor Sue who was a brilliant teacher and taught with so much patience, clarity and expertise, which made me so much more confident and at-ease while doing my first dives. The dives themselves were so much fun, with gorgeous underwater life, and the way they were organised gave me a real sense of ownership over what I was doing, while still allowing me to ask for help when needed. After my course, I wanted to book some recreational “fun dives” and they were super flexible with helping me plan the dives around my travel plans and making them great experiences. I really hope I can return soon to get my Advanced at Black Turtle!!
