My 3rd visit to Fah Lanna, first 2 times was at the old city. Well, overall was a good experience but still prefer the skillful masseur in old city I would say.

Booked a session online the night before (an easy process), and was very surprised by the environment. It felt very calming and peaceful, the aromas they used in the lobby were very light. Overall the facilities were really beautiful, and the staff only further enhanced the peaceful vibe. The staff was very helpful and speak English very well. I booked a 1hr traditional Thai massage session with Ppee and his skills were amazing! He was also very considerate and kept checking in to make sure I was doing okay. I honestly wish I had purchased a time extension. They definitely treat you with top notch hospitality.
New Fah Lanna spa in Chiang Mai, my therapist gave me a good service and skills were neat, care about details. Very pretty exterior design, don’t miss it when you are here.
People are very friendly and well English. They have many options on your own massage treatments, and nature environment around. Massage was good, totally relaxing. Price is a little bit higher than others in Chiangmai, but it’s worthy to try.
Driver was nice. But after I got there experience was not that nice. People in the reception are lack of service. They looked like they didn't even care. They said what they had to say but not really care or listen. I asked them to break my 500-baht bill but they said they dont have. That was okay though. I dont still understand the big and expensive massage shop doesnt have 5 100-baht-bills but I could understand. Maybe they needed some. Massage was good. The quality was not superior but her mind was appreciable. She checked if the pressure is okay or etc. Massage bed was not that comfy especially when I put my face down. There was not massage pillow or hole for face on the bed for thai massage. After massage I asked receptionists (didnt really want to ask anything to them) to drop me off at ibis styles but they said they could only drop me off in the old city which was not what I had known before. So I asked her again and she said the same thing. So I changed my plan but it didnt go well. I felt like I got ruined all the plan that I made after massage. I searched on the website and the drop off service is not only for hotels in old city. Ibis was not in the range like they said but only one road accrossing. They could tell me about it if they wanted to help me. Reception is the people we meet for the first time and have an impression about the shop. I wish you all understand this.
The place is as expensive as Zira spa and is also one of the luxury spas in Chiang Mai. The massage therapist is basically as good as those in Zira. The problem is with the receptionists. I went there in the morning. The receptionist told me that the only available time slot is at 7pm and requested me to pay the deposit ( more than half of the total) for my reservation. (At Zira spa, I always pay after the massage.) When it comes to the pickup and drop off service, the receptionist seemed to be concerned that whether my pickup location would be far from the spa. Since my hostel is only minutes walk to the spa and I told the receptionist that I might need a pickup in the afternoon before the massage. At the end, I decided to walk there by myself coz I was in Nimman but I did not receive any calls from the spa asking whether I would need a pickup and when I made the reservation, the receptionist just did not ask for my cellphone number. When I checked in in the evening, I had to pay the rest of money before the massage first. There was no fruits before the massage. After the massage, I had some rice cookies and ginger tea, when I was looking around for the products in the lobby, the receptionist took my tea and one cookie away without asking my permission. Conclusion: I am not sure about the other Fah Lanna but this one is lowering the bar of a luxury spa in Chiang Mai. If you are going to spend that much money, I recommend Zira. Even though the guest is in Nimman or somewhere far from the old town, they are happy to pick up.
